Salomon Shift Pro 2022 Boot Review

Contents

The Salomon Shift Pro series was designed for hard charging skiers who want one boot that can handle it all. The Salomon Shift Pro combines downhill performance, alpine touring mobility and resort boot comfort to give you one of the best all mountain/ freeride boots on the market. Whether you're claiming first tracks on your favorite tree run, skinning in the back country, or just cruising in bounds, this boot provides all day comfort without sacrificing performance. With its low foot position and Coreframe insert, the Salomon Shift Pro allows you to put down maximum power while remaining firm and controlled. The My Custom Fit 3D Seamless Pro Liner is one of the most comfortable on the market. It provides a comfortable fit without any slosh or over cushioned feel, allowing you to ski harder, longer. And after a long day of skiing you can flip up the Skiwalk mechanism and head to your favorite apres spot with ease. In bounds or out, the Saloon Shift Pro series can match any terrain.

Men's Salomon Shift Pro Ski Boot

Overview

The Men’s Salomon Shift Pro series comes in four flexes (90, 100, 120, 130) and can suit most skiers from intermediate to pro ability levels. With its medium width last and heat molded shell that can be expanded to a 106, this boot is a good choice for skiers with a medium to large foot. Between the flexes the boots vary slightly. The main outlier being that the 90 is a more intermediate boot that does not have tech fittings for touring. They all have Salomons My Custom Fit 3D liners varying from Sport (90), Performance (100), Pro (120) and Race (130). They all have varying power straps with the only significant difference being the 130 that has a locking claw as opposed to velcro. The 130 has two hiking hooks for a free range of movement while touring. The 120 and 100 only have one and the 90 has none. Regardless if you are an avid backcountry skier or just want a lightweight boot with walk mode for the resort. The Salomon Shift Pro series has a boot for you.
